He wants you to spend this life and eternity in a personal relationship with Him. "For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
Our Sin Puts a Barrier Between Us and God
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
Repent of Your Sins
Repentance is a change of direction. Turn your back to your sin and face to God. "God commands all men everywhere to repent." Acts 17:30
Accept Jesus as Your Savior
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17 "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12
You can express your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior through a prayer similar to the one below: "God I admit that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I am willing to turn from my sins and turn to you. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to live a sinless life, to die on the cross for my sins, and to be raised from the dead on the third day. I ask for your forgiveness and thank You for the new life You give me through Your Holy Spirit. Help me to live the rest of my life for you. In Jesus' name, Amen."
